Author Homepage

I learned about author homepages from sci-fi author, Andy Braan. Thanks for the tip, Andy. Hopefully I am getting this right.

What is an author homepage?
In short, it’s a place to highlight your current writing goals, links to your published works, mailing list signups, etcetera.

Below you will find:

Current Goal(s)

  • Write 300 words or less every day for this blog for 365 days – COMPLETED
  • Grow my social connections to both gain a broader audience for my work connect with other writers and various stages of their writing journeys – ONGOING
  • Interview elders in my family to capture more of our stories – NOT STARTED
  • Tackle one alternative writing goal each month whether it’s a contest, or writing an article and submitting it to a magazine or newspaper

My Existing Work

Originally, I chose to just be known as Lawrence on this site and keep this project separate from my other writing. However, as promised on day 62 in ‘A Fifty Full Monty’, I decided I would tell all.

There isn’t much to tell – there are no big surprises or secrets – but there is certainly a lot to share.

If you would like to browse a small collection of my favorite works as well as links to some of my other blogging projects over the years, you can visit www.larrypattisonjr.com. This is my portfolio site. It’s a work in progress, but it’s there none-the-less.

When I was applying for jobs at animation studios during a trip to California in my mid-twenties, one company called me a few weeks later and told me I should consider putting my portfolio online.

All these years later, back in 2021, I decided I should do this for my artwork. Maybe one day I’ll figure out what to do with piles of diaries and hand-written writing logs.

My Newsletter

In all the years that I have been writing, I have never created a mailing list but who says old dogs can’t learn new goddamn tricks.

So without adieu (or with it if you dare), I give you the ‘What the Fvck Just Happened‘ weekly newsletter. Our weeks, like The Beatles, are 8 days though.
