Lunch With the Littles

With Tara and I both off today, we joined my parents, Fran and Andy, mom’s cousin and her husband, and part of the Little can. Linda is also my mom’s cousin, and her husband Tom and one daughter Cheryl were there too making it eleven of us.

My parents do these lunches at least monthly with various people, but I am usually working so not able to attend. I always love getting together with The Littles because they have old family stories to share and Tom is also a Mason so we have that in common too. I also enjoy this time with Fran and Andy too but thankfully with them having a trailer at our park, those visits are much more frequent.

Lunch was at East Side Marios, and Tara knows the owner so they had a chance to catch up too. Tara worked for her some 30 years ago. Small world, this city. The server has also taken care of my parents many times and is quite chatty. He is my age and we also talked about men’s hockey, coaching, and such.

Dinner was yummy and the company of everyone – including the staff – was perfect.

Afterwards, Tara and I drove up to hang out with Betti White since my parents were going to be out for the rest of the afternoon, but I forgot my key – again but for my folks place this time – so I had to come back up on my own.

I hung out with Betti again for about an hour. We watched a bit of  an animated movie, before we went outside for a few minutes and I headed on my way.

I did a little more patch work today, and I went to get a color match. I tested it on a small spot and it doesn’t look right. I’ll have to go back tomorrow to try again. I think it took me three times with the gray to get it right. Thankfully I only bought a small tester can.

With Quinn going back home tomorrow, I wanted to enjoy some snuggles on the couch so we watched some more New Amsterdam before bed.
