The junk pile at the side of our house was getting out of control, so today was dump run day. I also had to drop something off at the girl’s mom’s house, and I took that opportunity to say hi to Quinn and see how she was adapting. Abby was home sick so I checked out the progress on her setting up her room. She has some work to do but it’s coming.
I was a bit early to pick up the girls, so I headed over to Zarky’s for the first time since I lived in our city’s west end. What a treat that was. That trip helped me plan dinners for the rest of the week. Tonight is meat loaf (that is thanks to Mom who I told I was out shopping for dinner ideas so I stopped by there to steal one of two loaves she made), with roasted potatoes that I made with corn and salad. Tomorrow is a prepared turkey dinner that looks amazing, Friday night is four cheese ravioli with meat sauce, and Saturday is taco night.
Look at me.
After walking the dog, I called it an early night. All that running around exhausted me. That and I wanted to rip out some old installation in the garage and clean up in the alley behind our house and take it all to the dump at the same time.
Tara and I started watching the new season of The Crown the other day – which we love – but I passed out mid-way through the first episode so I’m going to catch a couple of episodes before I shut off for the evening.
Tomorrow is supposed to be warm so I am going to jump back into garage repairs while we have these rare mild days. Painting and spray foam are on the agenda again.
