The ‘winterizing’ continued today. I can now cross off the lawnmower and snowblower from this list. The grass has been cut one last time, the oil in the mower has been changed, and the tool is ready to store for the season.
As for the snowblower, I topped up the tank with fresh gas, let it run for 5-minutes, and then changed out the oil. I then lubed a few points, and ran it one more time to run the new oil through it. It’s now ready for that first snow fall. Hopefully closer to Christmas time.
I also took down a few more Halloween decorations so that I could cut the lawn. There is still plenty of winter prep work to be done outside including raking leaves, and covering the air conditioner for the season.
In the background – as I mentioned the other day – I am working on an art piece. It’s a big project, so I am just plugging away at it each day. There is no rush, right? I’m thinking of it as a gift to myself. It will be 24×36 in printed form, and it’s what I am going to ask my wife and kids for as a Christmas gift. They can print this out and get it framed – which I’m sure won’t be cheap – but I want to hang it in my home office as a reminder of this feat and what I’m able to accomplish when I set my mind to something and when creative passions are running high.
Anyway, I don’t want to discuss the craft too much as then I won’t have anything to write about when the digital version is ready for post 368.
Oh, a high school friend had a heart attack yesterday. 51. He’s in recovery.
Fvck.
