Beyond the Destination

I know the project is over. I can’t promise how many entries will exist beyond Destination 3-6-5, but it’s November 5th and the day is slipping away and it feels wrong not penning a post. So, I thought I would throw something out there. No photo, no social shares, just however many words I feel like and hitting publish.

There was a stag and doe last night for my cousin’s eldest daughter which brought many of our friends and family members out including my dad, his brothers, their kids, and many of the grandkids – except mine which were at their mom’s or with a friend.

I know I said I had some winterizing things to do yesterday, but I did none of that. I’m working on the repair on the basement stair landing so between that and some last minute touches to the OG 368, there were no long trips to the trailer or even chores around the house that need to be squeezed in before freezing temps and dare I say, the white stuff.

The stag and doe was a lot of fun and I’m sure the young couple did very well. The food was amazing, as was the company. My parents even stayed until 11:30 which is far beyond my dad’s 7 PM bedtime. The trick is to make sure the draws go late into the evening to keep butt’s in seats longer because after that, the place cleared out pretty quickly – which shocked me for an event for 20 year-olds and their many friends. They were probably heading to the club for last call. That’s what we would have done.

Today has mostly been working on the stairs, and an image I am crafting for post number 368, which will be the official journey closure.
