My plan was to head to the trailer today to help get our lot ready for winter, and Abby decided to join me.
We arrived early in the afternoon, and Auntie Ber got Abby started on going around the site to remove all of the solar lights, and to take the batteries out of them. I, got started on cleaning the awning which was a filthy mess from it being out since I yanked the arm out of the roof almost two months ago now.
I grabbed a ladder, balanced the tools I needed on a couple of rungs, and got to work. It probably took me a good couple of hours to do both sides, and then I got started on putting the rest of the blocks and wood under the trailer in preparation for doing a final level so that we might be able to get the bedroom door open again.
While Abby and my sis finished with the gigantic piles of leaves all over our lot, I threw a couple of pizza’s on the barbecue. The three of us had a nice dinner in our trailer, and then it was back to work.
It was around 8 PM when we finally stopped. We gave up on the leveling for now. We were told it was best to wait until the spring to see how the RV settles. The great news is that the awning is rolled back up..
A fire was waiting for us on Hansen hill so us three and Finny, went up for a couple of hours to enjoy another beautiful moon, some country music, and a crackling fire.
Abby left the fire before us, and she was already passed out when I got back a half an hour later.
One more week of paradise.
