Someday’s, it’s all you can do to put on clothes, and others you have the energy to conquer it all. Today was one of those latter days and as someone who likes to keep busy, I thrive on these high energy moments most.
From tackling a pile of dishes, scrubbing tubs, and doing laundry, I wished I had this drive and focus every day. This house – and our sanity – would be much better for it.
With the nice weather, comes the need to get these pups out of the house for a good run so off to the dog park it was. I had been putting off heading back to this park after our last trip to the gross, murky waters that had me fearing for some upset tummies afterward. They were no worse from the wear, but they both did have a bath when they got home. It was my first time bathing Quinn. It wasn’t so bad. I’m good at tricking dogs into the area at the side of the house where I can block them off.
We ran into Gus, Gus at the park again. His owner is always nice to talk to. The place was hopping with dogs and people in general, and the water was clear as day which had me leary too. How did it go from being overgrown with grass and slime, to a stream of calm perfection?
I felt camera happy throughout our walk, capturing many shots of flowers and other such foliage along the way. Sometimes nature is a bystander along the paths we travel, but it’s within the moments she asserts herself and calls on us to admire her beauty, that I’m grateful for the connection she makes with my soul when I need the serenity of her healing peace.
