    Yesterday was my dad’s birthday. My father taught me about sacrifice, how truly important and meaningful the little things are, and that it really doesn’t matter if the room is silent, when it’s filled with the people that matter to us the most. Happy birthday, Papa.

    I had a few plans this evening with Tara away for the night, the girls at their mom’s, and Hayleigh hanging with a friend. Then I took a nap. Bad idea. In the end, it was a beautiful night spent with community talking about the issues that are important to us.

    I’ve been eyeing this outdoor heater for the past month as the price has dropped, but when I noticed it was half-price the other day, I finally loaded it into my cart. Tonight was a movie in the garage and assembly night.
