The girls were off early morning to Montreal to see Metallica. I was also supposed to go but there hasn’t been much time to breath never mind rest since I returned from our vacation, so I needed to do nothing for at least a day.
I took advantage of this quiet alone time to catch up on writing, but otherwise I did a lot of nothing – which as you have likely seen if you’ve followed this blogging journey – isn’t something I do a lot. If I’m not fixing something, I am being creative or volunteering somewhere.
The girls made great time getting to Montreal so that was good to know they arrived safely. After the problem we had with the van the day we returned from up north, I was worried about that long drive but it treated them well the whole way. It was bad timing really as Tara had sold her vehicle before our vacation, and wasn’t due to pick up the one she just bought until next week, so the loser cruiser was going to have to do.
To be honest, I also didn’t want to pawn Finny off on anyone, or put people out asking them to watch the kitties. We are lucky to have people to watch our animals when needed, but I think between escaping for a night here and there to the trailer, to two, two-week long vacations, that the cats are likely close to going postal on us.
Although I love sleeping in hotels, it was nice to be in my own bed surrounded by lots of fur-baby love. It was also good to do a little catch up on the blog, although there is still much to do to get to a point of just worrying about the current day’s post.
