There was a potluck and Parcel Dance at our campsite today. I also wanted to work on a few things for the RV kitchen reno that is still outstanding so I went up early.
Let’s start with the Parcel Dance. Everyone brings a dessert, and a wrapped gift. The spending limit is $10 and after dinner, the prizes are auctioned off to raise funds for our association. The kids love to get into the action and they all went home with something.
Dinner was amazing. My mom, dad, and our aunt and uncle who now have a trailer here, all came for dinner as well. I was the music host for the evening, but I had to cut out at 11:30 because I was so tired.
Abby and Finnegan kept me company overnight, and Tara and the other two girls headed back home. She had a relaxing evening watching television and playing on her phone in the trailer while I was at the dance, but we enjoyed an episode of Bones over the antenna before falling asleep. This reminded me of our stay in Niagara Falls over the Christmas holidays when there was a Bones marathon happening.
I was able to get the two pieces cut for the countertop and had the tools and the area setup for the morning to hopefully complete this job. I’m not fond of bringing dishes home to clean, and it would be nice to get these tools and supplies out of the trailer and just enjoy it the rest of the season. Clearing this clutter will enable us to put a blowup mattress there so the trailer officially fits us all until we have the time to build a permanent bed/bench.
What a full and fun day with family and campsite friends.
