It’s been a warm week in southern Ontario. To say it’s been delightful is an understatement, although I am glad it’s not here to stay because we need time to enjoy a cool breeze as we clean our yards, plant some flowers, seed the grass, and apparently get the A/C checked on the old minivan. There have been a few hot kiddos in the car to and from school this week.
For us, the plus temps also mean it’s campsite season and tomorrow, we pull in a new-to-us trailer to swap out for our 3-person camper. Our existing trailer is a single axel and much newer so we should be up in the end with a lot of fixing to go into the much longer, 2004 model we are swapping it out for.
The people who owned this previously, had been restoring it and even had over 90% of the parts purchased for it, before deciding they wanted a new trailer now that they have a young child and are in need for more space.
We share this campsite with my sister so between all of us, I am sure we will have this trailer looking new within the month. Just having a pop-out alone will make a big deal on those rainy or cold days where otherwise before, we have previously been huddled around a propane fire pit under an event tent. I foresee many more card nights ahead of us.
After spending 14 days in an RV together, I miss being forced to spend time much closer together than spread across this big, quiet house. The RV lavatory, not so much.
I look forward to writing a few of these posts from our new kitchenette, and we also have some Vacation movies to watch still.
