I have received some feedback from this short so far, and I also just finished a first draft of the children’s story we have to write.
Egad!

I was starved. It had been a long day, so I opted to take a few minutes to eat in the car. About halfway through my meal, I spot the RV Ken was driving pacing around the Rite Aid parking lot across the road. They hadn’t gone far, but for some reason were circling the plaza.
Eventually, I see them stop next to an Aaron’s truck. Within a couple of minutes, the curtains were all drawn and within another ten, the interior lights were out, with the exterior lights showing some indication of life inside.
I felt better knowing that they were batten down the hatches for the night. I mean that coffee was going to wear off in McCredie Springs. You didn’t want to chance the ghost of Frank Warner looking for revenge in the middle of the night.
I wonder if they are a Spark family or maybe that used Beamer that came in yesterday. Ken’s sure got a head of hair for that Camaro convertible, though.
In the morning, I notice the RV was gone as I was driving to the office.
Dang. He was in the perfect mindset to make a bad decision on a car purchase.
A couple weeks had passed. I had forgotten about the wayward traveler until I saw an RV rolling into town a little worse for wear, but this time with a sunglass wearing Ken sporting a confident smile as he rolled close to Hill’s dealership.
“Ken. How are you? How has your trip been? I’ve been hoping everything went smoothly on your family adventure. Are you in the market for a car?”
