For any football fans out there, that was some Super Bowl. What more could you ask for than the biggest game of the season coming down to the final seconds?
Rihanna did an amazing job and as it turns out – after plenty of social media buzz – she is expecting. Congratulations to her and hubby, A$AP Rocky. Sorry to the Tom Holland fans hoping for a surprise appearance during Umbrella.
For me, the most intriguing part of the Super Bowl was a teaser from the last remaining Blockbuster in Bend, Oregon, hinting at the first Blockbuster Super Bowl ad in a very long time.
The news created quite a buzz but as it turns out, the commercial went live on their Instagram account during the game. I mean it makes sense. Ads for the big game cost upwards of $7M. If a video store in Bend, Oregon can afford that, I now have the ultimate ‘I told you” so ready for my wife, regarding my own video store dreams.
Speaking of Blockbuster, while digging through our garage in an attempt to find the walls, I found my old Blockbuster membership card. I remember when they closed the last one in town.
I like to buy physical DVD’s myself even though we do subscribe to a couple of streaming services and as a cable guy, we still have a traditional television subscription.
I can count the number of times I have gone into a Walmart likely on one hand, but I did step into one over the weekend after trying to find a video in a few places. I was sad to see even their movie section was now just a flimsy bin at the back of the entertainment section.
Two guesses on the movie I was looking for?
