Do You Really Give a Fvck?

All the buzz up here in Canada the past few days has been The College of Psychologists of Ontario requesting that Dr. Jordan Peterson take part in mandatory communications training, based off of tweets he shared about our Prime Minister and the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.

My question to you is, do you actually give a flying fvck if your psychologist is conservative, a vegetarian, or a practicing Satanist for that matter?  How are any of these things relevant to my treatment? I am the one doing the fvcking talking after all.

Have they studied Freud and Yung and other influential psychologists that revolutionized the field? Is there a couch for me to chill on? Are they a good listener? Are they going to reach down my pants if I doze off?

“This fvkers a Trump fan isn’t he? Probably hunts Bambi too. He just reeks of male privilege and toxic masculinity.”

Things I am not thinking about while blurting grueling tragedies into the Brut 33-rich air.

“Oh look. A frame on his wall that says this guy checks out and is licenced to prescribe drugs. Cool”

There. Fixed it.

I mean, I think the whole #EDI scene is a crock of ape shit, but if we are to finally get to a goddam world of common ground, look to actual leaders like Irshad Manji to lead the diversity charge. Give people a choice if you are going to force diversity training. Irshad’s Moral Courage methods check all the diversity boxes, but she sees the fvcking humanity and the beautiful diversity of viewpoints that exist in this world. Not our labels.

Maybe the OCP should stick to Psychology, and let patients choose between groupthink and critical thinkers?
