We just capped the day off with a swim and a hot tub. Well my eldest and I have. We are warm and in our jammies while the others enjoy a few more minutes of swimming shenanigans.
To say that today was a whirlwind of excitement would be a stretch. It had to be 11 by the time we headed downstairs for breakfast.
Everything in Niagara Falls is so much more expensive. I mean we know that because we have stayed here a few times as a family and visited many times during COVID even though all we could do was drive from city to city to stay sane and hope we didn’t have to use the washroom.
After breakfast, we watched more Bones – it is obviously a marathon as it’s been non-stop since we got here and in chronological order.
Our family has been the kings of adventure since the first time our girls met and pooped out water bottles on the streets outside the theatre where we attended a sing-a-long presentation of Annie. We were married in the same theatre four years later.
It’s nice to not be in a rush for anything. No poop to scoop or logs to hunt in the yard. No guilt of not jumping back into repairs or DYI another space. I’m happy to enjoy this view of Tim Horton’s and binge this Discovery marathon in our jammies.
Late afternoon, we made a last-minute reservation for an escape room which my youngest has been asking for. We did the Matrix room and although 5 minutes of extra time still left us a lock and a screw from escaping without the assistance of staff, we had a lot of fun.
Dinner was Italian with Cousin Vinny which once again left us stuffed but satisfied.
